PROJECTION
See your brand from the outside, in.
WHAT IS PROJECTION ANALYSIS?
Projection Analysis is the outside view. We review how your business shows up to the world - your brand, marketing, positioning, digital presence, customer touchpoints and experience. For SMEs, showing up differently matters - you can’t outspend bigger players, so you need clarity, consistency, and the right mix of channels to be remembered. We highlight where perception and reality align, where there are gaps, and how to sharpen your presence across the touchpoints that count.
WHY DO PROJECTION ANALYSIS?
Most businesses are so focused on the inside that they lose sight of how they appear from the outside. Projection puts the customer lens on your brand, giving you a clear, evidence-based view of how you’re really seen across marketing, digital presence, and every touchpoint that shapes perception.
It turns those signals into practical steps you can act on straight away, so your brand shows up with more clarity, consistency, and impact. You see where perception and reality align, where gaps are holding you back, and how to sharpen your presence in ways that stick.
With regular reviews, you can track how your reputation evolves, stay relevant as the market shifts, and keep customers, prospects, and partners seeing you at your best.

COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT PROJECTION ANALYSIS
What is Projection Analysis?
Perception Analysis is the external lens on your business. We look at how your brand, marketing, and customer experience show up to the outside world, and how customers, prospects, and partners really see you. This goes far beyond digital channels or communications. It is not just about how you are saying it, but also what you are saying and why. The process highlights where perception and reality align, where gaps exist, and what to sharpen so your signals are clear, consistent, and memorable.
Who is it for?
It is designed for SMEs who cannot outspend bigger competitors and need to stand out in smarter ways. It is especially useful for leadership teams who feel their brand is not landing as strongly as it could, or where marketing efforts are not translating into the right kind of attention.
When should I use it?
Perception Analysis is most valuable at key decision points. That might be ahead of any marketing planning when you want to start with a clear view of how you are really seen, or when you feel like your current efforts are not delivering results. It is also useful when you have a limited budget and need to be sure you are investing in the right places, or when you simply want to check that the story you are telling matches the reality of your business.
How often should it be repeated?
We recommend revisiting your Perception Analysis every six to twelve months. Markets shift quickly, customer expectations evolve, and competitors change tack. Regular reviews make sure you stay relevant, distinctive, and easy to remember.
What do I get at the end?
You will receive a full report and a dashboard showing how you show up across brand, marketing, digital presence, and customer experience. Because this is not just about channels or execution, we also help you sharpen your core story — the what and the why — so your message is as strong as the way you deliver it. Most importantly, you will get a prioritised plan of what to refine, where to invest, and how to show up in a way that supports growth.
Are there different types available?
Perception Analysis can be delivered at different levels, depending on the depth of review you need. At its most focused, it gives a quick, external sense-check of your brand and marketing. At a deeper level, it can include customer experience audits, competitor comparisons, and digital presence reviews.
How much does it cost?
Perception Analysis starts from £1,950, with pricing depending on the depth of review and level of support you choose. We will always be upfront about costs, and we will scope it to match your goals and budget.
How long does it take and what does it involve from me?
For the most focused version, we will need around three hours of conversation with you and your leadership team. From there, you will receive your scores, report, and action plan within two weeks. For more in-depth reviews, including external research, customer experience work, or competitor analysis, you can still expect delivery within one month.
How much should I really spend on marketing?
As a rule of thumb, SMEs should look to invest around 5–10% of turnover in marketing if they want to grow steadily. If the goal is to grow aggressively, launch something new, or expand into fresh markets, the figure can rise to 10–15% or more.
The real question is not only how much you spend, but where you spend it. Perception Analysis helps you focus that budget so it delivers maximum impact — showing you which channels, messages, and touchpoints will cut through, and where you can safely pull back.
